Well little G man, you're sick right now. You've had 2 really mild colds before this that lasted a day or so, but this one seems to be a little tougher to kick. We took you to the doc and he seems to think you'll pull through quickly, but it's no fun right now. Runny nose, runny eyes, sneezes, and coughs. You manage to keep a smile on that cute little face no matter what though. The doc put you on an antibiotic for pneumonia because it seems to be going around. He put you on it in hopes that you won't get it.We took a really quick trip to Colorado and Wyoming and I think it was just too much for you and all that travelling is what made you sick. You met 7 new family members on this trip. I said several times that this is the worst I'd seen you behave. (That sounds mean, but you were just really tired the whole time, and probably at the beginning of this cold, so I didn't mean to sound like you were being bad, you just weren't your usual easy-going self.) But every time I said anything, all the family who had never met you would say things like, "Well if this is him being bad then you have nothing to complain about!" You're just a good kid, kid.
We took this trip to say good-bye to you're great grandma White. She died in January and we went to scatter her remains on Grandpa White's farm land. We did some shopping, swimming, napping, and eating too. Everyone had so much fun with you. Grandpa's land borders Nebraska, so I made Dad walk with us to the border so I could say you were in 4 states before nap time! Nebraska, California, Wyoming and Colorado.Although you're sick it doesn't seem to slow you down. I've started to think that past few days that you might skip crawling and go right to walking. You always want to be on your feet! You can pull yourself up if what you're grabbing onto is low enough. And once you're on your feet you laugh, and laugh and laugh. If I'm playing with you on the floor and you start getting bored, you grab my hands and try and pull yourself up. And you always stomp your feet when you're standing. It's pretty cute to watch.Anyway, I hope you feel better tomorrow because we're supposed to be going to Utah to celebrate your Great grandma and grandpa Garrett's 70th wedding anniversary.
And the last thing. Dad and I announced last week to family and friends that you're going to be a big brother! I've had very mixed emotions about this because I feel like I'm taking your babyhood away too early. I'm sure you'll do fine, I just can't believe how fast you're growing up. The big estimated day for your little brother/sister to get here in November 13th, 2011. You're going to do great. Love you bubba.
