Being outside

You would eat, sleep, and live outside if I'd let you. You love the outdoors! Playing in dirt, picking up leaves, rocks, twigs, grass, sand, and even bugs.We try to get outside as much as possible, but with no yard and a sister who naps more than you, it's sometimes a challenge. We got you a little splash pool for Easter, because you love water, too, but we've been out of town or not had warm enough weather to fill it on the porch and let you play. Soon, I hope. You loved Easter. You enjoyed coloring eggs, hunting for eggs, and even eating eggs. We also got you a new HUGE teddy bear, and you snuggle up with it often. You love having me read books to you.

You know how to make the animals change on a Fisher-Price app on my phone, that usually keeps you happy long enough for me too fold a load of laundry or feed your sister without you wanting to help.

You made the bottle to sippy cup transition super easy. After the doc told us to go cold turkey we did. You never complained or asked for a bottle again.

We're having some food/toy throwing issues with you right now, and once in a while some hitting problems. (So I guess you're a normal toddler.)

You're becoming more interested in being creative. I've been working on some projects with paint, wood and paper, and you always want to help. So I've been letting you use crayons, markers, and finger paints and you love it. You don't stick with it for long, but you get excited when you see all the colors on the paper and you realize that you're doing it on your own, with no help. You're a very independent one. You don't want help.

You usually only nap once a day now. This has just happened in the past couple of weeks. Once in a while if you seem super tired I give you two...I really wish you still took two. But bedtime is earlier and easier when you just have one.

You like putting on grown-ups shoes and walking around. That's another thing you don't want help with. You love the movie Shark Tale.

Levi, one of Grandma and Dude-pas dogs got sick and had to be put down. We took you to say good-bye. You fed him a whopper and rode on his back. Then you blew him a kiss and said bye.
