We always put you down awake and you're becoming a little rock star at falling asleep on your own and falling back to sleep on your own if you wake up during the night. I'm loving that. I usually hear you adjusting and sometimes I wake up enough to watch you for a minute. You hang onto the bumpers, suck on your fingers, grab the crib bars, and eventually fall back asleep with very little or no fussing.
I've noticed though, that it takes you longer to fall asleep at nap time than bedtime, even if you're really tired. I usually take a nap during one of your naps and I've gotten lazy enough that probably half the time we nap together in my bed. You almost fall asleep before hitting the pillow when you're in my soft bed. You love sinking into the pillow and having a cozy blanket tucked around you. I know its a bad habit, and I know I nap better when you're not on the fluffy heavenly cloud that is mom and dads bed, but sometimes its so nice. And I love watching you drift off so peacefully. I can't say I blame you. I wouldn't wanna sleep in that crib. But you still do good in there.You've starting sucking a pacifier more. And by sucking I mean chewing. You gnaw on the thing like you're a puppy with a good bone. But whatever, you like it.
You're starting to push up onto your knees a lot. It doesn't last long, but I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually.
You say mama all the time. Well, I guess it's more, "a ba ba ba ba" or "a ma ma ma ma" But I say its Mama, and I say it's your first word. It doesn't matter that you don't know you're saying it and you don't know what it means. Dad disagrees.
i am going to attack you and garrett when i see you in 72 hours. it's been TOOOOOO long! i can't believe he's 'talking'!
