just dance

I've seen a couple new things this week and it'll be too hard to remember everything if I wait til your 10 month update.

First of all, about the DOC band. It's going well and you don't mind it a bit. I just barely took it off for your 1 hour break and after I got it off you just sat there looking confused and then you softly patted your head a couple times, I think wondering where it was. Because of the neck issues you have, the band slips forward a little and covers your eye brow on one side. We push it up a lot, (they told us too) but it still slips a lot. It would drive me crazy to have something that close above my eye. But still, you don't seem to mind.

Your new morning routine, and sometimes afternoon nap routine if I don't get to you fast enough, is pulling the camera off the wall in your room. It's so cute to see your little face on the monitor trying to get the camera down. But, I'm going to move it up a bit so you can't reach it. I already moved the frames that have letters spelling your name. They were hanging on the wall behind your crib and you finally got tall enough to reach them and swing the frames back and forth. This morning while you were standing in your crib, I moved it up about 4 inches. As soon as I finished you tried REALLY hard to reach it, but you couldn't. Sorry!

You've started 'sharing'. If you're playing with something or chewing on something and I put my hand out and say, "Can I please have that?" You hand it to me. We did it about 10 times last night at bath time with a rubber ducky. And again today at the store with my keys and my Sam's Club card. It sounds silly, but its so cute watching you learn!

You've also started to dance. There's a little piano toy in your crib that plays songs and if I dance in your room when that's on you smile and shrug your shoulders and bounce up and down. It's so cute! You also do it when there's music on TV. And last night we were at Rubio's and an islandy song came on and you started dancing on your own without having to follow my lead. I only caught a few seconds of it on video, and some may say this is a far stretch to call it dancing, but it's still cute! It's much better when you're standing and not shoving food in your mouth.

So here's the video of that, and a funny little one I got one morning of your monitor.
