Well little munchkin, we've made it to the month that you are due!
Your room is ready for you to come home to. Although, I think you'll be sleeping in a bassinet next to our bed for a couple weeks. We'll have to see how that goes, but we got one, and dad rearranged our room a bit this week and put the bassinet up.
I've been having random contractions here and there but nothing worth timing or getting too excited about.
Your grandma Greenhalgh called me today from Germany to remind me that you need to stay in there for a couple more weeks.
We went to the doctor this last Friday and you're growing just fine. I'm dilated to 1cm and 30% effaced, which means we still have some time. Really it means nothing when you get checked that soon. My plan is to not have another exam "down there" until we go to the hospital to give birth to you.
I've been doing some sewing and shopping here and there, even though you really don't need anything else. We had 5 different groups of people throw showers for us. my family, Dad's family, my co-workers, our friends, and our church. People love you! We were given several gift cards to Target and Babies R Us, so that's what I've been doing this week. You are pretty well set and we may need to change your clothes at least twice a day for the first 6 months so you can show off all your cute outfits!
We are packed for the hospital in case you decide you want to get here early (hint, hint) and dad just put clothes in his bag for you. You're gonna look pretty cute I must say.
The only new thing that I've notices the past 2 or 3 weeks is your reaction to sound. You know mine and dads voices, you kick more in the car if the music is on, and you're more active in large groups. We went to the Bee's game on Monday with Dad and Grandpa Greenhalgh. It was a very loud and exciting game and you kicked pretty continuously for almost 4 hours. I really loved it, but couldn't believe that it didn't stop until we left. (And I skipped the cotton candy this time so I know you weren't on a sugar high.)
That's it for now. Hopefully in the (very) near future we'll be putting some pictures of you on here!
