10 months!

For the past 2 weeks or so I've been amazed every day at how big you are. It was like an over night change. One morning I got you out of bed and you just looked and felt so big! Dad said the same thing a couple days later before I said anything about it. You're losing that little baby face look and you're starting to look like a little boy. I say to you almost daily, "Be my baby again!" or "Who is this little boy and where's my baby?!"You don't seem even close to, or interested in walking yet, which is fine with me at this point. But if you could walk (and maybe help carry some groceries or a car seat) by the time your little sister shows up, that would be great! ;)

You've started the past few days pushing up from your knees and getting around on your hands and feet, but I don't know how much closer that really puts you to walking.

You have however become a little speedster at the whole crawling thing. Dad and I were talking a week or so ago about how fun it was to watch you slowly learn to crawl a couple months ago and now you never stop! You stand more with less holding, you don't let go, but we can tell you're not depending on pieces of furniture as much to help you balance, and you occasionally walk while holding onto something and pushing it. Not too often, and its mostly a stool with wheels and your doc band clinic. You also kneel and play with things without holding onto anything.

I can't tell you how many times I've kissed your fingers better when you smash them in cupboard doors. You are so curious and you want to see and do everything I do in the kitchen. The tears don't last long but it really breaks my heart when you smash those little fingers, especially when they get stuck and I have to run and help you get them out. I keep saying, "Just because something is baby-proof, doesn't mean it's Garrett-proof."

You still have no teeth! This past week you wake up around 4am, you don't cry, you just lay there and moan. Usually you fall back asleep eventually. Based on all the drool and chewing on EVERYTHING all day everyday, teething seems like the most likely reason for the early wake ups. We're hoping some break through soon.

You're eating much better and you're willing to try just about everything. But if you don't like it you chew for a while, mush it around in your mouth for a while, and then you stick your tongue out and pick pieces off of it with your fingers.

I can't believe you're almost one! (I know, every month I 'm surprised at how fast the previous one went by, I guess I just think it'll start slowing down but it doesn't.) I've already come up with a couple ideas for your birthday party and I think it's going to be really fun! Even though you'll have no idea whats going on!

These pictures were taken a couple nights ago at your second cousin's angel themed birthday party. By the way your second cousins love you. The two older ones ages 7 and 5 hug you all the time and when Sam (age 5) sees you he always says with so much excitement, "Hi cousin Garrett!!!"You got a present too. A pirate sock monkey hat.You were not happy about being an angel. You'd crawl for a second and then stop and try to push the wings off.I think you're thinking, "I'm glad mom's having a girl soon so I don't have to play dress-up anymore..."Awww, you're free.Just relaxing with Dad.Here you are throwing away your dads little Packer's helmet. He was not happy when I text him this picture, but I kinda love it.Loving every second of bath time.Still smiling. Even when your eyes haven't adjusted fully to the light yet.

I'm really proud of you bubs for how well you're handling your doc band and all the other stuff that comes along with it. You're a little trooper and although it's all started to take up a lot of our time during the week, I can't think of anyone I'd rather hang out with all day everyday, even if it is in a lot of waiting rooms.

3 videos. First, you playing with your favorite toy. Second, doing your new lip trick, and if you watch closely- all the drool that comes with it. Third, 'high five' for a good breakfast!
