Physical Therapy

Well bubba, you started physical therapy today. You did really well at it, much better than I expected. I think because you've been having some sort of treatment/adjustment done on your neck since you were 3 weeks old, you really don't know any different. But I'm really proud of you. You're a trooper, even when it looks uncomfortable. So we'll be doing PT now twice a week and I'm not sure how long this will go on for...we'll have to see how you do! You took to the therapist really well. You did what she asked you to do, like, follow her finger with your eyes, stick one finger out and touch the tip of her finger, etc. She was impressed with how comfortable you felt with her. And when she worked on you, you made it really easy. Aside from the couple times you tugged on her necklace and tried to rip her earrings out. I made a little note to self to bring jewelery as a distraction next time.

You're still doing great with the DOC band and I can't believe we've been in this routine now for a month! People think you're super cute in it, and you are. A few nights ago we were at a restaurant and two cute little girls kept walking by and looking at you. Finally one of then, probably about 7 years old, walked by really slowly and when she got to you she stopped and said to me, "I like your baby." You already have the older women after you!

Speaking of older women, we had some friends over for dinner tonight and they have a baby girl who is 3 weeks older than you. You two were so cute together! You played great, you loved touching each others faces and smiling at each other, and you even traded pacifiers once. And...we caught you touching her little bum twice! Sneaky little boy!Thinking of going for the bum...Hey! Don't touch me there!Playing so nicely...Busted! Hiding out under the table. And I'm pretty sure that's your pacifier in her mouth...you're so good at sharing. :)And you're both on the move again! So fun to have a new friend!Side note: (Mostly for me to remember.) You took a really great nap right after PT today and tonight after your bath you fell right to sleep quickly and peacefully. I've always felt like after a massage treatment or chiropractic visit that it would relax you and put you to sleep. They've never made you not sleep, but I've never noticed 'better sleep' due to a treatment. But today I feel like I've seen a difference in how well you've fallen asleep. We'll have to see if that continues.
