Another trip to Utah (Bear Lake)

We just spent 2 weeks in Utah.  Well, I guess you were there 2 and a half.  You've grown to hate road trips, and flights were really cheap, so Grammy flew here, spent a couple days, and then flew back and took you with her, then we all came a couple days later.

The main reason for this trip was to go to Bear Lake with our friends.  But we had a few days before, and then ended up changing plans and stayed a few days after because Grandpa was having surgery to have some cancer removed and I thought you'd probably be the best thing to have around to get his mind off of it.

Grammy and Grandpa took you to your first baseball game, the SL Bees.  They said you had a great time, but I think it got a little long because this is a picture I was sent with the caption "seventh inning stretch".  You went straight to the game from the airport and I think the flight probably wore you out.

We went to a farmer's market, played a lot in the water in the backyard, and we spent Father's day with family.

Grammy took you for a ride in her new bike trailer.  You loved that and asked for more.

You enjoyed our trip to Bear Lake.  You loved running around the huge house and you loved the big yard even more.
You got right in the water when we went down to the lake, even though it was too cold for the other kids.  You collected rocks and sticks and you got sand just about everywhere.  It was everything you love about the outdoors.  I even took you on your first jet ski ride!
As long as we were outside, you were happy.  The only rough part was in the middle of the night.  You've about outgrown even our biggest pack n play so you don't sleep great when you're not in a crib.  Fortunately, the room we stayed in had a HUGE walk in closet that you got to sleep in.  Dad slept with you on the floor a couple of the nights and we had a DVD player set up in there for you so you could watch Shark Tale as you fell asleep.

Back to Grammy and Grandpa's...

We played at the park and in the yard a lot.  You got a lot of bumps, bruises, and scrapes this trip.

We also went to Wheeler Farm, and you loved all the animals.

I love this picture of you. It shows you pure love and excitement for life.
Great Grandpa Garrett took you to a garden he helps his friend take care of.  When you got back, you were SO EXCITED!  So I took you back the next day to get some pictures, and I think you loved it just as much the second day.  Some quail had just hatched when we got there, and you got to help transfer them to the warm cage they'd be living in for a while.  You thought it was so cool.

It was a long trip!  But you did great, and I love vacations, discovering new things, and just everyday life with you.
